Indiana University to use Multiple Screen Delivery as textbook

cover_.jpgGot a nice email this morning from Dr. Edgar Huang, an Associate Professor at the School of Informatics and Computing at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Specifically, he informed me that he was adopting Producing Streaming Video for Multiple Screen Delivery for his upcoming college level course, Online Video Presentation.

Commenting on his decision, Dr. Huang stated, “I have adopted Producing Streaming Video for Multiple Screen Delivery for two reasons. First, the book covers useful information regarding how to deliver online videos the most recent ways. More specifically, it explains the technical details of some popular but taken-for-granted practices, and all new media practitioners who are serious about learning online video delivery should know. Second, I used Jan’s other textbook about Flash video in my class, and he is a trustworthy professional in streaming media.”

Dr. Huang is the third college or university professor to adopt my video compression textbook for their college classes, joining Ken Santucci of George Mason University and Seth Bloombaum of Portland Community College.

Thanks Dr. Huang, and thanks again, Ken and Seth.
