Ozer Announces Rebuild Your Encoding Ladder Webinar Series

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve updated the Streaming Learning Center design to enable an improved learning experience. As part of this redesign, I’ll be holding more educational webinars. The first is a six-part webinar series entitled Rebuild Your Encoding Ladder. If you haven’t looked at your encoding ladder in awhile, you’ll find this course particularly useful as Apple has completely changed their recommendations.

The first five sessions are free, the final session on per-title encoding is $49.99. If you take all the courses, you will get a certificate of completion. More importantly, your encoding ladder will be up to date.

Here are the sessions.

July 25, Choosing Your Bitrate Control Technique
August 1, Choosing Keyframe Interval and Segment Size
August 8, Choosing B-frames and Reference Frames
August 15, Defining Your Encoding Ladder
August 22, Choosing Profile, Preset, and Tuning Mechanism
August 29, Implementing Per-Title Encoding

All sessions will start at 2:00 PM EST, and run anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes. I know the first webinar is tomorrow, but it will be available free after the session.

I hope to see you at any or all of the sessions.
