Live event streaming is one of those value-added functions that looks harder than it actually is. As such, event streaming represents a great opportunity to add a high profit-margin, easy-to-produce service that clients are more than willing to pay extra for.
This seminar will introduce attendees to live event streaming. It will start by discussing the technologies underlying live event streaming, like codecs and formats, and how most live event platforms can reach both a desktop player (usually Flash) and Apple and Android devices.
It will then delineate the two classes of live events, pure streaming and rich media, and identify the technologies used to produce each type. The seminar will then discuss the three components of the live broadcast; production gear, encoding tools and distribution platform, and detail at a high level the alternatives available in each class.Attendees will learn basics like how live events work, how to reach desktop and mobile viewers with the same stream, and production, encoding and distribution alternatives for live event streaming
