June 23, 2010 – Just back from a day and 1/2 of streaming related training at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. The Agency was transitioning from a Real Networks-based system over to Flash, and wanted a general introduction to Flash and current practices of streaming producers. Here’s the agenda, and you can download a detailed outline of the materials here.
As an aside, with two nights to stay in the DC area, cost was an issue. The best deal that I found was at the Bolger Conference Center where I got a microscopic but very clean and comfortable room, with coffee maker and Wi-Fi for under $100/night. It’s also conveniently located, has a nice bar/restaurant, fitness center and the grounds are very spacious, with very ample parking. Give it a shot if you’ll be working in the DC area and don’t need to be downtown.
I enjoy consulting with corporate, academic and governmental agencies – this was one of four consulting/training engagements for the US government in 2010. To discuss your streaming or video production training needs, contact [email protected] or call 276-238-9135.
